We help young people (boys and girls) in the Malmesbury area discover their potential through fun, challenge and everyday adventure.

In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

Cubs Leader (Akela):

  • Team Building Challenge, Spring 2016 The cubs created the tallest structure they could just using spaghetti and marsh mallows. Not all the marsh mallows were used for the construction ;)

  • Night and Hike - Oct 2015 The cubs enjoyed a night away based at the Sherston Scout hut. We all went for a 5km hike and, after dinner, made animals from chocolate rolls and sweeties.
